NISSAN X BLK ODYSSY
NISSAN X BLK ODYSSY
This intricate video production, created in partnership with Rolling Stone and Nissan, required seamless collaboration between multiple stakeholders, including Nissan’s agency and the production company, Equator. A significant roadblock emerged when the Nissan agency underestimated the number of client approval rounds, creating tension as the deadline approached. The production team had been scoped for only three rounds of revisions, but the client’s extensive feedback process threatened to delay the project and compromise the quality of the final deliverable.
CHALLENGE
As the project manager, I was brought in quickly to address the challenge and ensure the project stayed on track. I acted as the central point of contact, facilitating communication between Rolling Stone, Nissan, Nissan’s agency, and Equator. I reworked the timeline to account for additional approval rounds, streamlined the feedback process by batching reviews, and pressed the urgency of timely approvals. When it became clear that the original deadline was no longer feasible, I negotiated a revised launch date with the client to ensure the team could deliver a high-quality product without overextending resources.
MY ROLE
PROOF OF WORK
The project was successfully delivered with a revised launch date that accommodated the client’s needs. By reworking the timeline and streamlining the approval process, we avoided compromising the quality of the video and maintained positive relationships with all stakeholders. The client appreciated the transparency and proactive approach, and the production team was able to deliver a visually stunning, story-driven video that met Nissan’s brand standards. This project highlighted the importance of anticipating client approval processes early in the scope and demonstrated my ability to adapt, problem-solve, and lead under pressure.
